Hello kids,

So most people think I know a lot of bands. The truth is the more you dig, the less you feel like you know. There are just SO MANY BANDS OUT THERE.

Too much music, too little time. Could be my life’s moto.

And so as you dig and search and immerse yourself in music, there are some bands, who keep popping up, who sound familiar but somehow you never get around to, or never get into or something of that sort. Even though you feel like you really should. Shearwater is one of those bands. They keep following me and haunting me here and there. And I never really got into them. There are some good reasons, the main one being that one of the members Will Sheff comes from Okkervil River. A band I love and has been featured on SOTD before. They also released a pretty successful album this year. But still, I’m just not clicking.

But I think maybe if I give them out as song of the day – they will leave me alone.

So let’s give it a try. I give you a single from their latest album Animal Joy.
