NASTY TUESDAY! Time to discover some new band from the Indie World!
After GANGS last December, today we travel again to Ireland to discover The Strypes! They are a very young 4 piece band from Cavan with deep blues roots mixed with a punkish style. The song we share today is a cover from Bo Diddley: “You Can’t Judge A Book By The Cover” included in their first EP “Young, Gifted & Blue” released last year.
They have recently signed for Mercury Records with whom they just released an EP “Blue Collar Jane” available on iTunes. We are looking forward to their first full album in the next months!
Did I mention that they are all between 15 and 17 years old and that they list Paul Weller, Noel Gallagher and Dave Grohl among their followers? Good start lads!
