we made it again to the safe island of Sweet Classic Friday! Today we close the Special Edition of our Indie Rock Weekly Survival Kit as selected by PEACE.
The young british band, named one of the best new act of 2013 played our game with us during an interview we had a couple of months ago and when asked what classic rock song they would choose for a Sweet Classic Friday they went for one of our all-time favorite bands: The Who with the song The Seeker.
The song is a bit of a rarity for the Who fans: it was released in 1970 as the band first work after Tommy, it talks about desperation and in the lyrics it mention several artist active in the pop culture of the time: The Beatles, Bob Dylan and Timothy Leary (advocate of LSD).
They call me ‘The Seeker’
I’ve been searching low and high
I won’t get to get what I’m after
Till the day I die
I asked Bobby Dylan
I asked The Beatles
I asked Timothy Leary
But he couldn’t help me either
Hey Hey, My My, Sweet Mod Friday everybody!
