Today in full Nasty Tuesday’s spirit we share the new single from Jake Bugg. The boy from Nottingham has just released the clip of the first single taken from his upcoming 2nd work.
The 2nd album will be named “Shangri La” and it will be released on November 18th. It was produced by Rick Rubin and the album is named after his studio, Rubin has produced the Gotha of the past 30 years of rock’n’roll having worked already with: Rage Against The Machine, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Mick Jagger, Audioslave and the list could continue forever…
If the first album was built on his acoustic guitar melodies, on this first song from the new album: What doesn’t Kill You Jake Bugg shows the world his electric side. We can recognize Rubin’s hand behind his guitar distortion.
Is the single a hint at a turn for Jake Bugg’s career into a more rock’n’roll side or the album will still have those folk/acoustic guitar tunes that made his fortune? Future will tell us.
Hey Hey, My My, What doesn’t Kill You makes you stronger
