The 1975 are a British indie-rock band from Manchester. So far they released four EPs and one self-titled album, The 1975, which came out in 2013. Their music is easily recognizable from the particular voice of singer Matt Healy. Along with their multi-faceted sound ranging from rock to 90’s music his voice brings that something more to the band. If you don’t believe me just have a listen to “Chocolate”, one of their great songs in which the singer’s characteristic voice goes up and down on a background of colourful and powerful sounds:
I had the chance to see them on 26 May 2013 when they were opening for Muse at Emirates Stadium in London. As we all know stadiums are always difficult to play if you’re not the main act, that’s why I’m even more excited to see them as headliners in an indoor concert venue. It’s going to be great! Don’t miss this opportunity and see you all at Les Docks in Lausanne on Thursday 23 October 😉
