Mighty Oaks are an interesting act not only for their music but for the varied composition of the band: formed by an American, an Italian and an English guy who are based in Berlin. Their indie-folk will take you on an unforgettable journey into the blending of the sounds inspired by the encounter of these three countries and cultures, without forgetting the artistic influence of Berlin.
I’m pretty sure when you’ll hear their song “Brother” you will sing along to the refrain, they’ve been playing it a lot on the radio this Summer. Here it is in case you forgot it or you don’t know it:
At Les Docks on Friday 12 December 2014, they will present their first studio album Howl, a great mix of acoustic guitars and mandolins, choruses and thoughtful lyrics, topped with their beautiful warm voices. This Summer at Gurtenfestival in Bern they did a great show! Their music is for people who like bands like Kodaline and Mumford and Sons or more in general for all those who don’t deny a beautiful journey into folk music. Come and find a great escape from the cold in their sunny notes! 😉
