Dirty Sound Magnet gives a lot of space to instrumental bits and psychedelic sounds such as the repetitive sounds made with the synth and so on. Frequent distortions played on the guitar create an original atmosphere. The band has a great energy for an effective rock music!

Wolfmother‘s singer Andrew Stockdale makes his entrance literally running on stage. The Australian stone rockers blow the audience away with some well mastered and fast guitar riffs and hard drums beats. They are only three but they make noise for ten. The sound of the band reminds at time Queens of the Stone Age.

The band creates powerful sounds playing older songs as well as new songs taken from the latest album Victorious, like the eponymous song. Wolfmother also plays the song “Vagabond”, perhaps the band’s indie song per excellence with its rhythmic guitars building up in sound and the voice of the singer in his softest version.

The repertoire of the band is not boring at all, there’s not a minute to catch breath as Wolfmother plays for 1h15 on a row, always on the high line. Andrew Stockdale can hold impressively well his powerful high-pitched voice while his curly hair hide his mysterious blue eyes.

The band also plays some quieter songs which are more indie than stoner rock like the beautiful rock ballad “Pretty Peggy” taken from the new album.

Needless to say that the singer has a lot of charisma! Mastering each string of his various shaped Gibsons, from the double neck guitar to the normal one and interacting with the audience.

In other words, Wolfmother is a must see!
